Meet Your Creative Co-Hosts:
Barbara Gini is our Founder and "CEO" (Creative Experience Organizer)
Barbara is an educator, author, and creative entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience designing calm, intentional, and beautifully organized creative experiences. Through her Artful Escapes™ events, she blends creativity, connection, and a sense of gentle retreat, inviting guests to slow down and rediscover the joy of making something personal.
Her background spans event planning, wellness, and recreational programming — all rooted in her belief that creativity helps us heal, play, and remember who we are. She holds multiple education and wellness certifications and loves helping families embrace their inner artist through color, humor, and imaginative expression. Barbara is the author of several books available on Amazon.
Lauren Bruge is our Co-Founder and CFO - (Chief FUN Officer)
Lauren is the co‑founder of Oasis Studios and Barbara’s youngest child. A naturally gifted preschool teacher and tutor, she has been experimenting with paint, glue, jewels, and creative materials since she was four years old — especially embellishing rocks, clothing, and anything that sparks her imagination. She also leads our Sparkle Studio Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos division, where her love of color and whimsy truly shines.
Before joining Oasis Studios, Lauren worked in the hospitality industry and helped manage Barbara’s event‑staffing company, giving her a strong foundation in customer care and event flow. She is happiest when she’s working with children and loves organizing parties and recreational programs that are both fun and educational. Lauren has a gift for helping kids find joy in learning through art and creative play. She is currently a student at Kutztown University and will be completing her elementary education degree in Spring 2028.

The Oasis "Birth Story" - (A Happy Little Accident)
In 2020 when our lives went "on pause", Barbara's Home & Hospitality company stalled as well. Barbara ultimately chose to dissolve the company and return to her first love and greatest passion, creating and teaching art.
Meanwhile, Lauren's college classes were on hold, and like many, they managed the best they could under stressful conditions, isolation, and an uncertain future.
To keep physically strong, emotionally grounded and mentally occupied, they turned a storage area in their drafty old, detached garage into a makeshift exercise room that morphed into a tiny art studio, that they fondly called "The Oasis".
"That musty old garage represents a colorful Oasis in the midst of an ever-expanding desert of worldwide chaos. An Oasis that nourished and gave respite. In that space, our creative playground, we could escape, have fun, express emotions, manage stress and dream with color and creativity, of a future filled with hope, happiness and healing."

In early 2023 they began officially sharing and teaching creative projects with small groups of friends, family and others: in humble homes, public parks, welcoming eateries, local schools, community centers and of course in their garage Oasis. They currently operate a small studio in Perkasie, PA.
The principle of "fun for all & all for fun" is what guides our mobile studio, as well as all of our related ventures
